SURF's Neutrino Day Festival

SURF's free science festival

Neutrino Day is SURF’s free, city-wide science festival.

The Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) ↗ is an underground laboratory in Lead, South Dakota, USA, at the former site of the Homestake Gold Mine. It hosts world-leading research experiments in physics, biology, geology and engineering.

In 2022, I was invited to give a public talk on the DUNE Experiment, whose biggest detector components will be installed at SURF, 1.5 km below the surface.
