How I became a scientist
The backstory not written in my CV
There is a trap in academia: comparing ourselves with others. I am sharing in this talk my doubts, joys, pains, moments of truth and moments of despair, while getting stamped with degrees and so-called ‘achievements’ that are not necessarily contributing to a good mental well-being. The most important is this: explore. It is okay to have an atypical path. At times it is what is searched for! And it makes you unique. Main takeaway: follow your interests. It will get you places. The places you definitely want to be in.
