The DUNE Experiment

Embark on the neutrino telescope to pierce the secrets of matter!

A presentation of the international endeavour of the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment. What is the neutrino? Why is it so interesting to study? Special videos will showcase the future facility, from Fermilab’s accelerator complex near Chicago fabricating the future most intense neutrino beam of the world, to the Sanford Underground Research Facility where the largest Liquid Argon Time Projection Chambers - a neutrino detection technology - will be installed at the former Homestake Gold Mine in Lead, South Dakota. The talk ends with DUNE’s potential to catch supernovae, making it literally an underground telescope… 1500 m below the Earth’s surface!
